The blue grouse was finished and delivered to the Oregon Department of Fish and Game on Friday for the annual Oregon Upland Bird Stamp competition. Recently, the blue grouse was split into two separate subspecies and this particular subspecies is called the Sooty Grouse and is primarily found in the westermost regions of it's range. Judging for the competition will take place near the end of February and results should be posted then...
