Blue Grouse Painting in Progress

This painting in progress will be for the Oregon Upland Bird Stamp competition. This year's species is the blue grouse. There will be some wildflowers in the foreground that will represent the edge of a mountain meadow. Right now I'm thinking some Indian Paintbrush because of it's red flowers and because they are generally found in the same habitat you might see a blue grouse.
